This applies to kernel versions 2.4.20 and 2.4.27:
when I try to bond two rtl8150 ethernet devices
(usb-to-ethernet) together to form an active backup
group, I get a kernel panic:
"00:60:6E:30:07:Scheduling in interrupt
...
<0> Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
"
Is this a driver problem or a ifenslave problem? I can
use the ethernet devices just fine without bonding. The
bonding module gets loaded without errors.
I tried it with our patched 2.4.20 (applied the last
patch for this version dated 2003-05-13) and after
hitting the deck I compiled a vanilla 2.4.27, with the
same results...
Any hints?
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Heiko
