PHP Desktop sounds promising. Definitely no reason that I can see to pay for an expensive license of a proprietary product that as you say will not likely have a long life. Without the source code for such a product, we would be completely out of luck when it dies. Sorry that I have been so quiet this year. I have embarked on a new adventure here at home that is currently consuming all of my time. I regret that we did not finish BP 3.0.0 before now but maybe in a couple of months I will be able to find a little time to work on it now and then. I think we should release version 3.0.0 sometime this year even if it is not really "finished".
