Dear all,
I started checking on a Intel Mac the Universal Binary version of BP2 that you can download here (along with its source code) :

(Be careful: another URL circulated a year ago but this one does point at the latest version.)
My Mac still runs MacOS 10.5.8 but I will soon upgrade it to 10.6.
Good news: it works and does not crash. I installed Pianoteq to get nice sounds and checked a few complicated piano pieces.
The only thing that did not work is graphics: when it is supposed to draw a graphic the window pops up correctly but nothing is visible. Covered with snow? ;-)
In fact QuickDraw is no longer be the proper library as it has been replaced by Quartz in MacOS 10.5:

I will perform more checks and report any problem.
It is very heartening to know that we are very close to the target. A Universal Binary version will not only run faster; it will also facilitate developments on other platforms such as Linux.
I wish you very enjoyable end-of-year celebrations and the best for the coming year!
