Hello everyone,
I'm happy to finally be available to make a universal binary of BP2
available to you for some testing. This build requires OS X 10.4 or later.
Future builds will probably not be so particular.

This is a VERY early attempt at a UB application -- I only just managed to
build it last night and I have made no attempt at auditing the code for
potential problems on Intel Macs yet. Since I can only easily test here on
my PowerPC Mac, I would be grateful to anyone who could run this version of
BP2 on an Intel Mac and provide feedback to me. I expect that it may fail
spectacularly.
In particular, I am interested in the following tests:
* Does it launch? (If not, please run the Console application in
/Applications/Utilities to see what went wrong).
* Does it display the BP2 "splash screen" or does it complain about not
being able to load resources?
* Can you open and save files?
* Does real-time Midi work?
* Does the "+sc.checkall" script run through to completion and provide
reasonable results? (This script is in the bolprocessor/scripts/
folder on the disc image -- you will need to do "Check script" after
opening the script file but before executing it).
If you can check one or more of these items, thank you!
My entire source code directory is included on the disc image too so if you
are brave and interested, feel free to try recompiling Bol Processor too.
You need XCode 2.4 or later on OS X 10.4 or later to build it. Open the
project file "BP2-MacOS.xc24.xcodeproj" and select the "Universal (10.4)"
target from the pop-up menu, then click "Build".
Changes for XCode-compatibility have also been committed to the BP2 CVS
repository on Sourceforge if anyone is interested in checking out the source
code and building that way. If you want to go this route, _please_ email me
for instructions on how to check out the code, because if you just use the
commandline CVS program, it will not decode the resource files correctly.
Once again, I hope to post complete instructions for this process to the web
as soon as I can.
Thanks!
