This release removes deprecated classes and methods, and cleans up some code comments. Also a leaner, simpler demonstration WAR file is included (although the older 1.3 demo will work with the 1.4 Ginger JAR).

Many improvements have gone into this latest release, including improved control and automatic handling of HTTP methods.

No further releases are planned at this time unless problems are reported or discovered in-house. A future release will remove deprecated code - watch this space.

The latest version of Ginger includes basic support
for JSP as an alternative to Velocity for templates. Please see the PDF manual for details.

The Demo application WAR file and the Quick Start PDF manual, which were previously available only from the Bohemia Project web page, have been added to the download package for convenience.

Adds new features for content-type, character-set encoding and a 'no-render' mode to allow redirects without requiring a superfluous template. Also improved configuration file parsing with error detection and reporting.

Ginger is the cornerstone package of The Bohemia Project. The initial public release is now available, and documentation is available from the project home page.
