Assuming that both servers are running linux, here's and example: mount newserver:/path/to/files /mnt/newserver cp -a /path/to/the/current/backup/* /mnt/newserver/ umount /mnt/newserver go to the admin pages and adjust the settings if nessecary. That is basiclly it. BOBS was never meant as a failover solution. I made it to allow users to accces to files they lost in a easy and system independant way. I assumed that adminstrators would be able to restore a lost server in a sane manner, as described above. I guess this should go into the documentation.
