I'm the author of "the old keep pushing the button trick", and here's my rationale behind it: That screen is a dynamic one, meaning that the fields presented depend on what has been selected in the drop down boxes. So I keep redisplaying the screen when anything changes - a new field or input keyed into a field. And the first time the screen is shown it's considered changed, because it's different than what was there before - nothing. I thought I was pretty clever, but it didn't work out as well as planned. So in the interim I've change the button from 'OK' to 'Next'. At least that should prompt the user to keep pushing.
