#5 Compression (.tar.gz?) for backups?

It would be GREAT if the backups BOBs performs could be
filtered through a compression program such as .tar.gz
or bzip, or whatever. A choice of compression
algorithms would be great too, depending on the types
of files being backed up. It probably wouldn't be too
difficult for the web UI to integrate into browsing
compressed files, I know Midnight Commander can do it
fairly trivially..

I believe adding that support will break differential
backups. Unless you uncompress that backup to do the
differential backup.
