I did actually have a look at it, but I could not reproduce the problem.
Now that you brought it up too, I had a longer look at it ;)
It seems this problem does not appear when Windows is running with the
classic theme (which I use), only when running with the XP theme.
Maybe it has something to do with this change:
From the wxPython 22.214.171.124 release notes:
wxMSW: Support added for XP themed owner drawn buttons and bitmap
buttons. For example, if you change the foreground color of a button
it will now be drawn with the XP themed style rather than an ugly
generic button style.
Anyway I'll try to create a test case that reproduces the problem and
take it from there.
It is not a Boa problem but a wxPython problem so the fix will probably
only be in the next wxPython release.
