#18 Read-only status management in Editor

Would be nice to have read-only status shown in the
title-bar (e.g. an asterisk or '(readonly)' after the
filename. Preferably attempting to edit a read-only
file would pop up a choice dialog:

Mark File Writable
CVS Edit File
SourceSafe Checkout File
Cancel

With those options being user configurable and/or
plugins.

Ok cool, this is halfway done. Read only is detected (os.access), the state displayed in the Frame title (read only)
and the SourceView is put in read only mode.

I'm not interested in the source control options (yet) but I would like to put in the 'Make file writable' option.
How do you change r/w permissions in Python??

For changing file permissions from within python, os.chmod
works, although AFAIK it's not available on the Mac.

Thanks Tim, quite obvious in hindsight!

I've not yet implemented changing the permissions, but read only detection and display are now in CVS.
