I am new to Python and get the feeling am missing something very simple but I just can't find it. I downloaded and installed Python 2.7, wxWidgets 2.9.1 and Boa Constructor 0.6.1 in that order. Ran BC and set the path to Python. Every test app I have tried returns the error 'no module named wx' but there is nowhere in the settings I can find to set the path to the wx widgets folder. I added the wx widgets folder and the src folder under it to the Path environment var too.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Your problem is that you installed wxWidgets but for Python you need wxPython, which you can get from here:
http://wxpython.org/download.php#binaries , probably the win32 unicode assuming that Python 2.7 is 32 bit, if not I would recommend to use the 32 bit as there many more libraries available for that compared with the 64 bit version.
You did not mention which install package of Boa you used. To take advantage of the new stuff like Python 2.7 and wxPython 22.214.171.124 etc you have to use the source version of Boa which is this installer "https://sourceforge.net/projects/boa-constructor/files/Boa-Constructor/0.6.1-beta/boa-constructor-0.6.1.src.zip/download"
That did it, thanks heaps Werner!
