Released the first utility -- bnet-online.pl. Simply logs on (as guest), joins a custom channel (to reduce the amount of net traffic from others joining/leaving the public channel), and looks for a specified (or default) user. Written in Perl5. Requires IO::Socket. Command-line utility.
