I'm an idiot

Well shit.

I just tried creating a config for 4chan's /wg/, and lo and behold it doesnt work.

Looking through some of blurker's code, I realised I'd left some /b/ stuff hardcoded in. I'm changing it all now, it should be done by tonight, along with a working /wg/ config.

Sorry guys.

Multiple board support

Finally I got round to it. Turns out it wasn't as big a job as I thought it would be.

It might be buggy, it might work flawlessly. I do know the default 4chan-b.cfg file works fine because I've been using it.

If you want to add support for a board, a little HOWTO is in the README file.

Also, if you do get a board fully working (please test it first), feel free to post the config file as a comment in this news post. I may make a forum later for them if it turns out to be popular.... read more

Falling behind

Sorry guys, I'm busy as hell at the moment. I haven't even had chance to look at /b/lurker since I released the v2 BETA. I'll get cracking as soon as possible, but things are a little hectic atm.

/b/Lurker 2.0

Due to some bugs that I couldn't make go away, I've decided to rewrite the whole thing and release it as /b/Lurker 2.0. The new version will have the option to select which chan/board you want to lurk, full proxy implementation, and some nice UI features that weren't there before.

I'm hoping to release a beta this coming Friday (20th Feb). If you have any suggestions for features, now is the time to post them.

I can't save! What to do.

Windows firewall. You need to open port 80 to all outgoing connections. It blocks threads without asking, so when Lurker finds a thread to lurk, it can't find any images on it.

To make it safe though, set the outgoing connection to only be allowed to the IP range of 4chan.

Help needed!

Thanks for visiting. First of all, I assure you, not a virus. I know downloading things /b/ tells you to is generally a bad idea, but this is legit. It uses the HTTP port, and only saves files in the directory you tell it to.

However, this program is still a long way from final release, and as such, there are some weird bugs. I need YOU to report any bugs with as much detail as possible on the forums.... read more
