I downloaded and ran the latest bluestyle Linux. I don't understand why the latest version with the latest Linux kernel doesn't recognize 15 different WLAN USB stick adapters. And when you want to start gparted, you have to enter a password. What the hell is this? What kind of password is that supposed to be?
Hardware is not recognized
That's because not enough people use USB WiFi sticks anymore to justify
their inclusion. I've built and pushed a few drivers for rtl (realtek)
devices. Not sure how many more might be available. Check the specs on your
device, or use dmesg and find its discovery, and get the chip model number,
then Google it along with the terms "arch linux" and "driver". If arch
supports it, the search will find it. If not, try the search without the
"arch" and see if any Linux supports it.
Gparted can only be run with root privileges. If you run it as any user
other than root, you'll be prompted for a password - I'm not remembering
off hand if it wants the user password (if that user has root privileges)
or the root password - bslx:user / root:admin. I find it easiest just to
launch gparted with sudo -E.
