Okay, just in case, did you install the program as root and then run
the program as your own user?  That can cause issues with permissions.

Besides that, can you explain what you mean by "does not work"?  Does
it give you an exception dialog, no generated output but also no
warnings, etc.? Any help to describe the problem would be very much
appreciated!
