Maybe I'm missing something, but when I create a note on the pianoroll I can only drag it horizontally. When trying to do this vertically the note snaps back to the initial position. Hi Richard, I'm not sure I'm following. I can use shift-click then drag to enter in a new note. Once the note is entered, I can select it with the mouse, then when dragging the selected note(s) I can move it up and down, left and right here. steven On Mon, Jul 29, 2013 at 10:40 PM, zappfinger <zap...@gm...> wrote: > Maybe I'm missing something, but when I create a note on the pianoroll I can > only drag it horizontally. > When trying to do this vertically the note snaps back to the initial > position. > > Richard > > > > -- > View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/Can-only-drag-notes-horizontally-on-pianoroll-tp5726124.html > Sent from the Csound - Blue - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Get your SQL database under version control now! > Version control is standard for application code, but databases havent > caught up. Hi Steven, That does not work for me. I will also try on a Windows machine. It's only a minor inconvenience, since I can always delete the note and create it again. Hi Richard, That's odd and I'm wondering what could be causing it. If you happen to have more information or could give me steps to reproduce, I'll look into it further. Hi Steven, It only works when I check 'Snap Enabled' in the Pianoroll object... Richard -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/Can-only-drag-notes-horizontally-on-pianoroll-tp5726124p5726156.html Sent from the Csound - Blue - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

I didn't have snap enabled on, so that's odd. What OS are you on? And what version of Java? (in terminal type "java -version") On Tue, Jul 30, 2013 at 10:21 PM, zappfinger <zap...@gm...> wrote: > Hi Steven, > > It only works when I check 'Snap Enabled' in the Pianoroll object... > > Richard > > > > -- > View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/Can-only-drag-notes-horizontally-on-pianoroll-tp5726124p5726156.html > Sent from the Csound - Blue - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Get your SQL database under version control now! > Version control is standard for application code, but databases havent > caught up. I'm on OS X 10.8.4 java version "1.6.0_45" Richard -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/Can-only-drag-notes-horizontally-on-pianoroll-tp5726124p5726160.html Sent from the Csound - Blue - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Ah, maybe it is an issue with Java 6. Oracle has just about end of life-d Java 6. The next version of blue will require Java 7 due to the platform I use having moved on to Java 7 now. Could you try install Java 7 from: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index-jsp-138363.html Also, you can use spotlight and type "Java Preferences" to check what Java version is the default by dragging the version to the top. The version I am using is "Java SE 7", vendor "Oracle Corporation", CPU-type 64-bit, and Version 1.7.0_25. Hi Steven I installed the '7' version now, but the terminal and Blue still see the '6' version. The familiar java preference program to switch versions (from the Utilities folder) does not exist anymore. The Java Control panel under system preferences shows the new version (1.7). Apparently this is a known problem on OS X. I will look into it later. Ok, I had to install the Java SDK, (Java SE Development Kit 7u11), not just the RE to get my Mac to recognise it. Blue sees it too, but unfortunately the problem is still there. Hi Richard, I'm not sure what's going on then as we've got basically the same setups. When you're dragging around the notes, are you by chance have any keyboard keys down? If it persists, please do enter a ticket into the bug tracker. I know the bug and feature tracker has gotten very full, but I will be doing another pass through it as soon as I get all of the render service changes done to accomodate Csound 6 for the next release. Thanks! steven On Wed, Jul 31, 2013 at 9:44 PM, zappfinger <zap...@gm...> wrote: > Ok, I had to install the Java SDK, (Java SE Development Kit 7u11), not just > the RE to get my Mac to recognise it. > Blue sees it too, but unfortunately the problem is still there. > > Richard > > > > -- > View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/Can-only-drag-notes-horizontally-on-pianoroll-tp5726124p5726192.html > Sent from the Csound - Blue - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Get your SQL database under version control now! > Version control is standard for application code, but databases havent > caught up.
