I have been using jmask to generate material for my latest work. The more I
use it the more I love it, and at the same time the more features I can
think of to improve it. Here is my main wish list:
1- would it be possible to do a reality check before rendering? Sometimes by
mistake I forget to change the lower mask limit for p2, which crashes csound
due to the heavy CPU load. It would be great if this could be automatically
checked and if the density exceeds a certain amount to show a warning to the
user before rendering (the amount can be defined in preferences and the
check can be turned off).
2- I would love it if the same generator could be used for two different
p-fields, with two different masking.
3- It would be amazing if one could copy data from one table to another
4- it would also be useful to be able to clear tables quickly
5- and again the possibility of editing values by numbers using a table
editor (like automation) would be much appreciated.
6- and last but not least it would be useful to be able to export table
values as dpf too.
7- a really great addition would be a kind of on/off freeze implementation
where the current values of all the p-fields are frozen, momentarily
suspending or bypassing the generators. Maybe a global table with on/off
only (no interpolation) that can be enabled?
All the best,
