I am using Windows 10 with Bluefish 2.2.13, the latest version with an installer for Windows. I have used this version of Bluefish for several months without issues. Today the Bluefish program would not open. I searched around online and found that if I deleted the temp files (the .bluefish directory), then Bluefish might start properly. This worked. However, now when I finish using Bluefish, then I have to delete the .bluefish directory before I can use Bluefish again.
I thought that reinstalling the program might fix the trouble. I uninstalled Bluefish, restarted the computer and then reinstalled it. This did not help with the temp file issue; the program still works, but only if I delete the .bluefish directory first. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I joined Sourceforge just to ask this question. Please forgive me if this isn't the correct place to post this question. If it isn't, then please point me in the right direction.
Thanks.
Adam
this is the right place to file a bug. But I'm really confused what might cause this behavior. The .bluefish directory contains the settings and autosave files. Can you try which file in there you need to delete to make bluefish start again?
