there is a memory leak somewhere.

run blox using java without -mx600m -ms600m options so that you get the default
64 MB virtual machine.

open mri.blk, kill the window 4 times.

you get a out of memory error.

clearly the memory is not being properly released when windows are closed.

If you read the java spec. you will discover that the garbage collector is not really required to do anything ... i.e. it is free to leave memory unclaimed.
