I'm just working on a blog using Blosxom 2.1.2 (in dynamic mode only,
so don't worry if it doesn't work in static one) for a friend of mine
and wonder what's the right plugin to maintain date of the entries.
About words "maintain", I mean : do that date of every post file
remains unchanged even if I move it in the framework of a
backup/restore or else.
About word "manage", I mean : to force a specific date even if it's
not the current system one.
So, I've looked around and found several ones, but don't know what's
the one which meet my exact requirement and is the most reliable and
automatic (not any shell command to run manually sometimes, just
because my friend will use its blog himself and is not really
software-aware - lol).
The ones I've found are the ones from
- entriescache + meta
- entries_cache_meta (which seems to be the fusion of the two above)
And one which doesn't appear (unless error) in the registry, found at
which is called :
... And maybe it exists some else (for example, I see names like
meta_date and metadate in the plugins registry v2)...
So, what's the one I should use ? What's your lighted advice ?

I use entriescache + meta in my blog.
And i've created a Perl script resetting the modification date of blog
files to its meta-creation_date setting. Thats because some FTP clients
set the file modification date to the uploads date.
