#5 Separate data files for blosxom and plugin variables?

Feature request: Would anyone be interested in the future blosxom (V4?) having, by default, the variables for plugins stored in separate files from the plugins themselves? That way, if I am upgrading my blosxom installation, or upgrading a plugin, I would have a single separate directory with all my previous settings intact. This would make updates or re-installs more streamlined, if I didn't have to go back through each file and figure out what all my previous settings were. Even for the blosxom.cgi script itself...

I hope I put this post in the right place; I haven't used sourceforge before. And, I'm very excited that there are active users and developers for blosxom! I've been using it for about a year and I love it, thank you!
