One of my goals for the next rev of the blog, after this big change, was XML as a data storage _option_. As for initialization, I have no issues with switching to an xml file, except it may be a bit harder to edit. One thing though - I do NOT like having info (I mean info that defines the blog) in the ini _and_ in the db.
