Dear All, I basically agree with youuuuuuuuu, but there are several problems. First of all, just like the STL, Boost libraries are primarily specifications, and I don't think it would be easy to make a formal specification of Blitz as it is rather a loose collection of sublibraries. The other thing is that to be part of Boost, it should be integrated with Boost. Eg compile-time algorithms should be implemented with Boost.MPL. The third problem is that in Boost there is already Array, which corresponds to blitz::TinyVector, and MultiArray, corresponding to blitz::Array. Don't misunderstand me, I would more than like to see Blitz standardized, I use Blitz and Boost together all the time, and eg I very much prefer blitz::Array to Boost.MultiArray. I just wanted to start (or continue) a discussion about this.
