Hi, I am trying to run the following commenad and I am getting the error: server refused connection.

blat Z:\StockStatus\stknz.txt -to samir.madi@rmdformwork.com -subject "NZ STOCK STATUS"

This is just a test to send a txt file to my email address.

The funny thing is it worked fine 2 days ago - only when I changed my password did start to fail.
So I changed my password back but I am getting the same error.

BLAT works fine on another PC on the same network just this particular PC

I have tried everything with the profile, from deleting it and creating a new profile, with a number of different options but I keep getting the same error. Re-started the PC with the new password etc.. but still not working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. it is has been working fine for years... I also updated to the latest version but the same error.

Thanks so much.

Samir.

You changed your non-working PC's Windows password, and this is causing Blat to fail? This has me curious. Please add "-superdebug -log blat.txt" to your command line, then email that blat.txt file to me at chip.programmer@att.net so I can see what might be happening.

One question though, is your non-working PC on a Windows domain and trying to communicate with a domain based SMTP server, such as Exchange?

Chip thanks for youe reply. I found the problem. IT rolled out Mcafee virus software that blocked port 25.
I have since disabled the software and it worked.

    thanks for your help.
