The tree collapses _all the time_. Even after opening a file. This seems non-
standard behaviour for a Cocoa app.

I should have said "stop the file tree from collapsing".
Saying "Don't make..." made it sound like it's being done on purpose, which
it isn't - I dislike it so much that I created the posts table-view to
supplement the tree. Fixing the tree has turned out to be a hard bug.
