New Release Coming Soon

Just as another quick update, the CVS version of the project is now pretty much in a working state. I've been using it in production on my site for about 3 weeks with the tinydns/autoaxfr output option. A release should hopefully be made in the next month for everyone waiting for an upgrade. The only feature in the current version that isn't yet ported, is the default zone option for creation of zones. I haven't quite decided how it's going to work yet. So stay tuned for updates, anyone wishing to give the current version a try (just the front end if you're using bind or the whole kit and kaboodle if you're planning to use tiny is welcome to pull a version from CVS.)... read more

Development Starting back up

I've been really busy with my new job so I haven't had time to work on the app. I've started work again and I am completely reworking the DB backend and the code. It make take a while but there will be a new release in the next while.

New Features Coming in .40

Along with code cleanups most likely in .40 I will be implementing a couple new features.

1) Search and replace for IP's. It will go through all primary and/or secondary zone's replacing one IP with another.
2) A new interface option that instead of displaying all zones will display a search form allowing you to lookup zones. This is mostly meant for larger sites with many zones as displaying all the zones is just not a viable option.... read more

Add User broken in 0.35

So in the process of adding the default zone file options I sorta broke the Add User. This has been fixed in 0.36. I am currently working on cleaning up my code and commenting. So 0.40 won't have many/any feature changes mostly just cleanup.

problems with 0.31

If you're having problems with 0.31 you made need to add the .htaccess file included in htaccess.tar.gz into the directory where blahzdns is installed.

Version 0.31

After setting up the new demo I noticed that I had broken some major things in 0.3 like adding and editing users, because I had missed a few conversions to $_POST[] from global variables. They should be all fixed now

Authentication Workaround

I have been informed of a authentication workaround in the script. For now please use .htaccess to restrict access to the tool. I will be working on a fix but until then please use this temporary fix to stop unauthorized access to you zones.
