#2 Installation fails

Installation produces error messages, and the game (server nor client) run.

Installation error messages:
dx8vb.dll could not be found in the specified path....
error registering BFwidgets.ocx

Win 2000 pro (NT5)
Critical Software installed:
V. Studio (complete)
IE 5.5
JDK 1.3

Believe that this is probably due to DirectX 8 needing to be installed.. try installing it and see if it fixes the problem..
