When you try to run BFClient.exe under Windows 2000, all you get is a Windows ding. Probably related to DirectX.

I think I may have fixed this.. but it seems like binaries compiled under Win2k don't work under Win9x, and vice versa.. someone using Win2k try this patch:

Oops.. better provide a more recent client, too. Otherwise it won't work.
