Just food for thought.
If the pipe menus feature makes into main, perhaps it
would be time to improve the default main menu. I'm
thinking a single pipe entry, which calls a tool that
ships with Blackbox (bmakemenu ?) which produces a
smart and dynamic menu.
I'm thinking some of the following:
* Produce sensible submenus: Internet, Multimedia,
stuff like that.
* Explore the system (the PATH, actually) for
ultra-popular applications and add them to the menu in
appropriate places. (Firefox under Interner, XMMS under
Multimedia).
* Provide a "survival" selection of Blackbox-specific
menus ([style], [config], [reconfigure], [exit], etc.)
Another idea would be to throw in the mix a tool that
reads the menu spec per FDO and outputs Blackbox menu
syntax. Pipe that somewhere off the main menu somewhere
too.

Kind of like what IceWM does? I've thought they have a pretty smart approach.
