Hi there, With this mail I want to inform you about what jobs there are which could be taken by any interested person. If you feel that some of this tasks match your interests, please reply either to the mailing list or to me personally. I will assist you wherever I can if you're unsure how to do something. Documentation: A while ago I have started writing a documentation. The current version is always in CVS (subdirectory doc\en). It is intended as a very in depth documentation containing all the internals for pros, but also as a tutorial for beginners. Translation: Very unexpected someone created a French translation a while ago. This is great and I was really excited about this! Maybe someone comes from another language and wants it translated. If so, feel free to do so. To help translators I have added the new/removed translation strings in the Changelog. The French translation is now a bit behind in CVS, because I have added a new start dialog. Additionally the French setup required some more translation. As soon as the French translation is updated, I can release the final version 4.0! Web Site: Interested in creating a Web site? If you are able to write standard compliant CSS and HTML you can take over the Web site for BKM[1]. Programming: You may have noticed my statements about not using Visual Basic (the programming language I use for creating Bookmark-Manager) anymore. So if someone is fit in programming Visual Basic I would be glad to hand over the programming. Additionally I would be very interested in creating a port for Linux or Macintosh as requested in a feature request[2]. But won't do that alone, because it requires a lot of work. So if you know C++ you may consider helping me out with this. Thanks for your attention, Patrice Links: [1] <http://bkm.sf.net/> [2] <http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=606507&group_id=29922&atid=398108> |
