I can't really help you with running it on Windows, but it at least opens on Linux for me with one small bugfix. I was getting an exception which led me to https://sourceforge.net/p/bitpim/code/HEAD/tree/trunk/bitpim/src/aggregatedisplay.py 's line 451 which guards what it says is a fix for the Mac platform but was needed for me on Linux. Removing the if statement (so the line inside it runs unconditionally) made bitpim open. I don't have a phone to test it on so I can't debug past that. But if you have an error message, I can try to help. I already had the package installed on my Debian install, but it doesn't appear to be in the package repository, so I'm not sure where it came from. - Daniel Perelman On Fri, Aug 27, 2021 at 5:21 PM Mark Schilling <msc...@ms...> wrote: > > Aug 2021- > Is there anyone to support installation and use of BitPim? > Can utilize either windows 10 or linux Lubuntu but all attempts to install > ver. 10.7 have failed > I know this is untouched in 10 years, but my Sanyo phone is older than > that. > > > ------------------------------ > *From:* bit...@li... < > bit...@li...> > *Sent:* Friday, August 27, 2021 4:30 PM > *To:* msc...@ms... <msc...@ms...> > *Subject:* Welcome to the "BitPim-devel" mailing list > > Welcome to the Bit...@li... mailing list! > > To post to this list, send your message to: > > bit...@li... > > General information about the mailing list is at: > > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bitpim-devel > > If you ever want to unsubscribe or change your options (eg, switch to > or from digest mode, change your password, etc.), visit your > subscription page at: > > > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/options/bitpim-devel/mschilling9%40msn.com > > > You can also make such adjustments via email by sending a message to: > > Bit...@li... > > with the word `help' in the subject or body (don't include the > quotes), and you will get back a message with instructions. > > You must know your password to change your options (including changing > the password, itself) or to unsubscribe without confirmation.
