Augustine, Thanks so much for your reply. I can indeed see the file system via Bitpim, but it looks like the image files must be combined together since the number pictures on the phone is much larger than the number of files I see on the phone. I guess the next step would be to try and figure out how to decrypt these files. BTW, I using this on Windows and not Linux.. Bitpim looks like a nice tool and it would have been great if I could have just pulled off the images like I was supposed to be able to do. Best regards.-Keith On Sunday, January 29, 2017 3:39 PM, A. I tried bitpim years ago to try to get data (pictures/contact list etc...) out of a Motorola E815. It didn't work even after entering the phone info by hand. Bitpim never recognized the phone. Turns out that the E815 is one of the most crippled phones (by Verizon) ever sold. What motorola designed was supposed to be top of the line for the time, but in order for Verizon to extract more money from the users, features were disabled or crippled right and left. Unfortunately, in my case I couldn't even see the phone as a file system. I would suggest you copy files from the phone FS directly (assuming this is possible and not disabled somehow). I presume you use Linux (or is bitpim available for windows?) You should be able to mount the phone FS and copy the files that way. > -Keith Good luck. Augustine |
