I am a new user to BitPim. At the advice of my fiancée, I downloaded it with the hopes of obtaining access to the stock ringtones on my (no longer activated) Sprint LG Lotus and moving them eventually to an (activated) Verizon LG Ally. I managed to successfully weed through various issues (apparently BitPim needs MSVCP71.dll in order to run-- a dll file which isn't generally present without MS Visual Studio), and even got past the fact that BitPim wasn't finding my phone (swapped out the data cable that came with the lotus for the ally's cable). ... I can now see the FileSystem! However, it appears that support for the Lotus is somewhat limited: there isn't an "easy" button that will simply happily transfer all my little ringtones over... I've weeded through the filesystem, but my luck has thus far been limited. I've found all sorts of interesting critters, from wallpapers to contacts-- but I'm still having no luck finding the ringtones for calls and/or message alerts... Any help to direct me toward finding the call/message alert ringtones would be highly appreciated. Thanks, Katie |
