First, I would like to thank you for replying to my request for help. I felt pretty much alone. It turns out that just before I got your message I fixed my problem. I did it by reloading the BitPim software. I tried once to reload over the old copy of BitPim - that didn't work. I didn't want to erase the old copy for fear of losing my data. I was successful when I loaded BitPim into a Temp file I created. When the software was loaded my data appeared, so I erased the old and loaded a new copy. PS - I believe that my data is stored in a .pyo file. PYO files are created by software called Python. ----- Original Message ----- From: Dennis Reichel To: bit...@li... It's possible the data is in a file: bitpim.dat It might be helpful if you can provide information about what changed on your computer between the last time your application ran and when you first saw this error. I have no idea about the bitpim installation on Windows, but here's a link that provides information about problems with the C++ runtime library http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307817/en-us Also, this information may be useful for you to elicit useful technical help: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html On Tue, 2011-02-08 at 08:11 -0600, A. PS - I downloaded another copy of BitPim 1.0.7 and reloaded it.
