to the files VIA bitpim and the filesystem after installing:

"Samsung Mobile USB Modem 1.0 software"
"New PC Studio"
"Samsung USB Driver (MCCI 4.34) WHQL 3.4
"Samsung Connectivity Cable Driver"

And some miscelaneous drivers:

Windows Driver Package - Mobil Top (sspmdm) Modem (02/23/2007 2.5.0.0)
Windows Driver Package - Mobil Top (pphpusb) USB (02/23/2007 2.5.0.0)
Windows Driver Package - Nokia pccsmfd (10/12/2007 6.85.4.0)

Sorry I haven't narrowed WHICH one is working- but I thought I would check
BitPIM to see if the filesystem was accessible and Voila! Tonight it was!
