I uninstalled everything that had to do with my Bluetooth, and installed the winXP SP2 Driver (available from msicomputers.com) and now bitpim sees my phone correctly and detects it on COM3 !!! I ended up ditching it for the native XP drivers (SP2). This is a different error message than you said before (COM4 access denied) I recommend trying all the ports you listed in your other e-mail.
