I uninstalled everything that had to do with my Bluetooth, and installed the
winXP SP2 Driver (available from msicomputers.com)  and now bitpim sees my
phone correctly and detects it on COM3 !!! 

Thanks for the help. I haven't tested everything yet, but the filesystem
appears to work so far.

I have that driver on my bluetooth. I ended up ditching it for the native XP
drivers (SP2).

 

This is a different error message than you said before (COM4 access denied)

 

I recommend trying all the ports you listed in your other e-mail.
