New release comming

BioGB v5 is comming. There is a brutal list of internal changes. There will be a simplified list with the changelog, but i will tell some of them now.

  • BioGB has suffered a massive refactorization making code A LOT more readable and easy to understand.
  • Code was updated to use the new C++11 standar which helped to simplify some code and to fix a lot of bugs.
  • A big list of bugs were fixed, mostly sound bugs, timming bugs, cpu opcodes bugs and a lot of display bugs.
  • BioGB now uses SDL2, which is faster, and much more flexible. It also opens the doors for movil ports. Expect them soon.
  • Performance had a boost. Thanks to refactorization, some bottlenecks were fixed and now the emulator runs even faster.
  • BioGB is now much more friendly with cpu usage. When fps limit is active, it will use a lot less CPU power. This, again makes the way for movil ports.
  • There were a lot of memory leaks and some unresponsable use of memory. Now BioGB uses way less RAM memory than before.
  • Last but not least, sav files are no logner +MB size. Actually they are compatible with other emulators like no$gmb, BGB, etc. Less space needed to save game progress, great!!... read more
