[binarycloud-dev] r2 make

[Faine, M. <Mar...@ms...>]

I couldn't find much instruction on doing make for r2. Just thought I'd
check it out.
 
At first I couldn't get it to do anything so I edited makefile.in and added
the current dir (/home/mfaine/www/r2/binarycloud) as BCHOME.
 
this is what I get when I run make:

in user
in user/htdocs
in base
in core
in bldr
in init
make[2]: /home/mfaine/www/r2/binarycloud/base/utils/processprepend.php:
Command not found
make[2]: *** [installprepend] Error 127
in lib
in mgr
Building en site
in user
in user/htdocs

make[2]: /home/mfaine/www/r2/binarycloud/base/utils/processprepend.php:

anybody?  Also, will I have any problem using/installing bc on a hosted
site, are there configuration differences I need to be aware of?

Edit the file above (processprepend.php) and change the shebang line to
point to where your php is installed

Mine is on /usr/local/lib/php (freebsd - iirc)

hi Mark,

You will need to check that your paths are correct, edit

base/utils/installcode.sh
base/utils/processprepend.php
base/utils/xml2php.php
base/utils/pk2dir.pl

and make sure that the paths to php and perl are correct.

r2 is:
    -a) not done
    -b) quite different.

not so different that you have to throw away code, but you will certainly
have to modify your modules, etc to work with the new system.
