We are a new Bika users. We installed Bika LIMS and try to introduce
this software in our lab. Now our main problem is printing a Certificate
of analysis in paper.
Can you tell us, how can we do it?
I'm sorry about my poor english.

Printing of signed analysis results reports is included in the
specification of Bika 2 currently being developed for a sponsoring lab.
This requirement thus far has been met by printing the Analysis Request
(AR) view from the browser's [Print...] option on the |File| drop-down
menu, but this delivers a very bland print
In Bika 2, 'Print' will be a publication preference set up per client as
is currently the case for the e-mail and fax options. There will also be
a [Print] button on the AR view tab available to lab managers for
re-printing results - in our interpretation of ISO 17025, results may
only be printed by the lab itself. The [Print] button will therefore not
be available to clients
The Bika 2 sponsor requires, apart from the print being laid out below
the lab's letter head, a digitally scanned signature of the lab manager
authorising the print to be inserted. We have not yet researched the
implications to ISO accreditation doing this as this lab is not
accredited. Anybody with previous experience in this regard, please
share your comment here
Bika 2 is targeted to go into production at the laboratory sponsoring
the work end of March 2007 and should be released on the GPL soon after.
If you require the print function more urgently, please post such a
request over at the developer's list or contact Bika Lab Systems
directly for a quote, it is a small development item and could possibly
be released as a patch
Thank you for evaluating Bika, please keep us informed of your progress

The results can also be printed by clicking the printer icon on the AR view
It delivers the same 'bland print' - a possible work around could be to
use pre-printed letter heads and sign them manually?
