Jeremy,

We are still on Java 7 for the moment.  We have several users who have not
yet migrated to Java 7.  CI is run against Oracle/SUN JDK 1.7.0_79.  We
have run CI on Java 8 and there are not any known issues.   With
"mavenization" (to be previewed in open source soon), we can move to Java 8
for specific modules.  This is how we're implementing the Tinkerpop 3
integration, for example.
