This version represents a complete overhaul of the release first posted on SourceForge. HISPID5 is now an extension to ABCD 2.06b. See

A new mailing list, big-cvs, has been created for the project.

All CVS output is now being sent to this list to separate it from development discussion, which happens on big-devel.

First release of the data2shp program. Try it out and submit any bug reports to the site.

A quick update of the HISPID5 draft standard has been released to cure a bug that prevented its validation against the W3C Validator for XML Schema (http://www.w3.org/2001/03/webdata/xsv).

A number of other changes have been included in this release that clean up elements that should work the same way, but are in different sections of the schema.

Please try this out, and inform the BIG team via SourceForge of any suggestions or changes.

The first release of HISPID5 has hit the server. Download it and try it out!

The BIG-Devel mailing list is now up and running. CVS changes are sent to this list, and any technical discussion of the code should also be sent to the list.
