PERTH is intending to dither the geocodes for rare/threatened taxa it knows about. The issue of a Consensus Census raises its ugly head, though. PERTH has no way of knowing the conservation status of plants outside of WA! The problem with dithering at the portal end is that for a time, the data is on the wire in full precision.
