In most studies either a bi or tri cubic display is used to improve the quality of the displayed image.

-For low count studies it can be more advantegous to use a PET smooth. The **sigma (mm)** lets you control the area over which the smooth is performed. By changing [[img src=checkbox]]**display** you may see the effect of smooth vs. no smooth.

Be aware of a possible "problem" of apparent image shift when going back and forth. The "problem" only appears in certain studies where there is a difference in the reconstructed area of PET vs. CT. The bi and tri cubic displays have a higher resolution and thus there can be a 1 pixel shift when shifting back and forth between the smooth vs. bi or tri cubic display.
