This bug affects 1.1.9.2 and 1.2.0

The configuration script always attempts to compile
with "cc". On Solaris boxes, cc usually refers to
SunPro C (Workshop) compilers. These mix poorly with
both the GTK test program and bidwatcher code. You
should probably have it use gcc instead, which works
fine.

OS specific Patch would be:
862,863c862,863
< ac_compile='${CC-cc} -c $CFLAGS $CPPFLAGS
conftest.$ac_ext 1>&5'
< ac_link='${CC-cc} -o conftest${ac_exeext} $CFLAGS
$CPPFLAGS $LDFLAGS conftest.$ac_ext $LIBS 1>&5'
---
> ac_compile='gcc -c $CFLAGS $CPPFLAGS conftest.$ac_ext
1>&5'
> ac_link='gcc -o conftest${ac_exeext} $CFLAGS
$CPPFLAGS $LDFLAGS conftest.$ac_ext $LIBS 1>&5'

Even after you do that, you still have to export CC=gcc
in order to get this to compile on Solaris.

jason: If this is still a problem (against the curent CVS),
please let me know so I can make the necessary updates. I
have a Solaris box to test it out on as well.
