Background not updating after launch

The shortcut opens the window, runs through the config and pauses at the
    "Sleeping BGINFO4X ... Timer(s): 300"
In the old version when it got to the timer point it would run through again and pause.
In the current version the window closes instead of refreshing, so if I make a colour change to the text it's never refreshed until I run the BGINFO4X shortcut again, so at the moment the background is only updated on startup. This used to happen every 5 minutes or so but since update it's broken.

What version do you have installed? 3.3.6?

    Thanks.

    Yes, 3.3.6

Does it happen with the default install?

    Can you upload your BGINFO4X.CONF, IMMODE.CONF, and OUT.CONF, ALARM.CONF?

    Thanks.

With the default install then no, it doesn't happen.
I've gone through each conf file making changes one by one to isolate as follows:
Changed Sleep timer to 60 for quicker refresh, launch BGInfo for Windows Console, runs fine, loops constantly.
Changed OUT file to my custom out file, simple changes. Loop continues to run.
Changed ALARM file. Commented out VNC Server alarm as I don't want an alarm on the desktop. BGInfo runs for one loop, alarm is removed, BGInfo sleeps for another 60 seconds but on the next loop the console closes.
If I use an alarm that does not set an alarm condition then the loop will always end after running once.

So I can get the program working if I have an alarm condition active, but not if I don't want one!

I've attached the conf files I want to use, but the issue is easy to replicate, just comment out the vnc alarm on a windows machine and it crashes.

I've worked around my issue by changing the IMALARMOUT="OFF" variable.
I had an idea for the alarm file but I can work around that. If you need me to test anything I'll help if I can as I don't think this crash is the normal behaviour

Hello, thanks a lot for your explanation. It really helps.

You are right: There is a bug when no alarm is configured and IMALARMOUT=ON. Next version will solve it.

The workaround is to use IMALARMOUT="OFF".

Thanks a lot for your time.

    Regards.

There is also a bug when there is an alarm diferent from the one that comes standart.

It makes the console run just once.
