Sorry that I didn't get back to you. I got it working but I'm not sure how. I didn't use your tip, it was an installation issue on my part. I think that I reinstalled ImageMagik, but I'll let you know in another post when I get to reinstall on a virgin system. Thanks for your reply nonetheless.

MACOSX_SET="osascript -e \"tell application \\"Finder\\" to set desktop picture to \\"${WALLPAPER}\\" as POSIX file\""
Does it work?
If it doesn't work, can you try this line?
MACOSX_SET="osascript -e \"tell application \\"Finder\\" to set desktop picture to \\"${PWD}${WALLPAPER}\\" as POSIX file\""

3.2.4 solves some bug install issues on MAC.
