    Hi,
I spent a few days writing an AppleScript to get all the system info I needed to write to an existing Windows client MySQL BGInfo database I already have.
Now I've found this! I am keen as I'm looking for something for my linux clients. Does the Schema match the original Windows BGInfo schema for MySQL?
Would it be simple for an export to write straight to an existing BGInfo MySQL DB?
    Thanks
    Paul

  • BGINFO for X and for Windows!

    Hello,

The schema doesn't math the original Windows BGInfo, but it is very similar.
It is better to use the native BGINFO4X EXPORT functions, but If you want, you can create an script to write to your original BGinfo database.

To check the SQL schema used by BGINFO4X, enable the SQLITEEXPORT option, and see the results.

Use the last BGINFO4X that will be published very early, because the schema has been enhanced.

    Regards.

for MAC use the last version BGINFO4X2.8.0.tar.gz.

Without having used this product yet - can anyone confirm whether or not it can write to a SQL Server instance the way that BGInfo can?

    Thanks,
    James

  • BGINFO for X and for Windows!

    Hello,

The native export functions for BGINFO4X client are HTML or SQLITE3 databases.

To export to SQL Server or MYSQL, you can do it with a custom script. You must learn first some program basics.

    Read the wiki page.

    Regards.
