Hello,
Hi all,
I've found the following behaviour regarding custom wallpaper, which appears a tad odd, so thought I'd mention.
If you enforce a wallpaper, with a jpg file referenced in IMMODE.CONF all ok.
If you don't enforce a wallpaper & choose a Win7 theme, also ok - when the refresh cycle occurs, the info will display over the top of whatever user background is there. So far, so good.
However if you choose a solid colour background, when the refresh occurs, it enforces the previous corporate wallpaper, regardless of enforce setting to "NO"... occurs even if the file it references is renamed (so it shouldn't be ably to find it to enforce. I've tried rebooting, and same background has persisted, so assuming it's cached somewhere.
Other than that, thanks for a helpful tool!
Regards
Tony

Yes: A solid colour background is not a wallpaper and it generates an empty wallpaper key. If BGINFO4X detects that there is no wallpaper in the registry key, then it enforces the corporate wallpaper automatically, because it is treated as an error (the normal situation is to have a wallpaper).
So, If you want to use solid colors with BGINFO the best solution is to create a bmp wallpaper with the solid color and then apply bginfo in it.
Thanks for your comments. If you have more questions we are here to answer you.
Regards.

Hi, I edited the IMMODE.CONF file, line: CORPORATEWALLPAPER="NO", but still it uses corporate wallpaper. I change it to my, but it changes back automaticaly. What I do wrong?

Is it possible to have BGINFO4X allow users to change their desktop wallpaper but still allow BGINFO4X to display the information?
Just downloaded and am playing with the software now....apologies for laziness by asking question before testing
Yes,
Edit IMMODE.CONF and change the variable CORPORATEWALLPAPER="NO".
Then use your preferred wallaper.
Review also the documentation http://sourceforge.net/p/bginfo4x/wiki/Documentation/
Regards.

Can you attach here the content of IMMODE.CONF?
