The plugin works pretty well for me. I am using it to launch DiffDog for XML comparison.
The problem is I cannot get it working on anyone else's computer. I work with 5 other developers and we cannot get it working on any of their systems.
The errors are mixed. One developer gets an error that the plugin is incompatible with the build version of a dll. Another developer gets an error that the preferences page cannot be created due to a null pointer error somewhere in java.lang...
We are all running Windows XP Professional. I am running Eclipse 3.3.1 Build M20070921-1145.
My colleagues have installed the exact-same version I am running with no success. They have also tried unzipping my eclipse directory as their eclipse directory with no success.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. The ability to launch the external Diff tool is fantastic and this plugin is the only one I can find that actually works with CVS.
Thank you.

Sounds like an issue with configuring the plugin...
All you need is to tweak the preferences page to point to BC correctly, under Window > Preferences... > External Tools Launcher > Beyond Compare.
I use this plugin on Linux by pointing at a shell script with in turn collects commandline args and feeds them to BC2 or BC3 (currently in beta).
What version of the Beyond CVS / External Tools plugin are you using?
Sorry I must have missed this request.
Have you tried with the latest version of BeyondCVS? It now supports SVN and Beyond Compare 3 and has many new changes. Let me know if it still doesn't work for you and your colleagues.
Thanks,
Chris
