Is there a way to do comparisons with a git repo? Every time I try to do a context menu compare (Compare with > Latest Revision) on a file that's currently managed with repository I get a "The selected file has no revisions in the repository". This works just fine with files in projects that are managed under SVN or CVS repos.

I have the same problem, when I select Compare With -> Revision... (Beyond Compare), I get the error message: "An error occurred while trying to compare revisions Exception: null". After clicking OK, I get the "The selected file has no revisions in the repository" error message. This is when selecting a file with multiple revisions (visible in the History tab), with Eclipse Indigo, and EGIT (2.3) would love if this plugin supported GIT in Eclipse, as Beyond Compare is far superior to the bundled diff tool. Thanks.

I get the same thing when using the toolbar button ("The selected file has no revisions in the repository"). I see this request was opened in 2012 and there really hasn't been a lot of activity... it's a shame because I agree with Peter; there's just no comparison. BC is so much better than the Eclipse diff tool.
